Hello, squared is a weekly photo project by Thien-Kim Bui and Julia Haskin, former college roommates.
Julia grew up on the northeast side of a biggish Texas town; Kim grew up on the northwest side of the same town. Aged 18, they both moved to a smaller, yet still sizeable town in the Pacific Northwest. Ten years on, Julia lives in England. Kim lives in Australia. Both will be taking photographs, and hopefully, both will improve.
So: same-same, but different.
